Lela Chenevert

Funeral mass for Lela Mae Chenevert of Hessmer will take place at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Hessmer on Friday, July 13th, 2018 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. Visiation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Thursday, July 12th, 2018 from 5:00pm to 11:00pm and will resume Friday morning at 8:00am. A rosary will also be held Thursday evening at 6:00pm. Burial will commence at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Mausoleum. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Lela Chenevert, age 91, passed away at the Hessmer Nursing Home on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Chenevert; daughter, Debra Burke; sister, Zanella McManus; brother, James Guillot; parents, Eustis & Marie Guillot. She is survived by her daughter, Ramona Ducote of Hessmer; brother, Alfred "Fred" Guillot of California; grandchildren, Brandon Burke, Melissa Guillot, Terry Ducote, Jr., & Shelia Ducote; great-grandchildren, Eric, Zack, Kaitlyn, Alexis, Nick, Zachary, & Drake; great-great-grandchildren, Gracie, Hunter, Brayden, Jace, Bentley, Chandler, & Carter.
