Funeral services for Leo James Thomas, Sr. of Mansura will take place at the St. John Community Baptist Church of Marksville on Monday, October 29, 2012, beginning at 7:00pm. Visitations will also be held at the church Monday evening, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The dismissal service will commence at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the St. John Community Baptist Cemetery.
Leo Thomas, Sr., age 82, passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center of Alexandria on Thursday, October 25, 2012. He is preceded in death by his sons, Jerold Sampson Terence Wayne Thomas, Sr. parents, Douglas Anna Francisco Thomas grandchildren, Lamont Thomas Dwayne Frank. He is survived by his wife Georgette Thomas of Mansura children, Theresa Frank Jules of Marksville, Susan Dominick of Marksville, Paul Thomas Esterlee of Victorville, CA, Leo B. Thomas Megan of Moreno Valley, CA, Vincent Thomas Natalie of Chino Hills, CA, Caliven Thomas, Sr. Melinda of Eunice, Leo James Thomas, Jr. of Mansura stepchildren, Cloyd Clayton Nicer of Marksville, Tonya Simon of Marksville stepsister, Susie Demouy of Dallas stepbrother, Perry Lee Dixon of Mansura. He is also survived by his 45 grandchildren, 13 stepgrandchildren, 72 greatgrandchildren, 8 stepgreatgrandchildren, 4 greatgreatgrandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
