Funeral services for Leon Johnson, Jr. of Evergreen will take place at the St. James Baptist Church of Moreauville on Saturday, October 1, 2011, beginning at 12:00pm with Rev. Darrell Sampson officiating. Visitations will also be held at the church prior to the funeral service, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Burial services will commence at the St. James Baptist Cemetery.
Leon Johnson, Jr., age 63, passed away at the Bayou Vista Nursing Home of Bunkie on Sunday, September 18, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Ballard Johnson parents, Leon Queenester Washington Johnson, Sr. He is survived by his children, Samantha Lonzo of Baytown, TX, Earnestine Sampson of Dallas, TX, Sandy Day of Longbridge, and Leon Johnson, III of Marksville. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren.
