Leona Bordelon

Funeral Mass for Leona Yvonne Bordelon of Simmesport will begin at 11:00am on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport. Entombment will follow at the Christ the King Mausoleum.

Leona Bordelon, age 85, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Bayou Chateau Nursing Home in Simmesport.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Glenda (Mark) Jones and Lawrence (Irene) Bordelon Jr.; grandchildren, Jason (Gretche) Bordelon, Ashley (Kyle) Coco, Derek (Chasity) Moreau, Shianna (Cory) Coco, Chastity (Randall) Scott, and Amy (Brock) Portier; great-grandchildren, Olivia (Tyler) Clark, Addie Coco, Bailey Moulard, Peyton Moulard, Allie Moreau, Ava Moreau, Kaley Coco, Kolter Coco, Garrett (Madison) Bordelon, Janson Bordelon, Damien Portier, Ezra Portier; great-great-grandchildren, Thomas Clark and Lennon Bordelon;  Siblings, Eugene Coincon and Gertrude Desselle.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Bordelon Sr.; sons, Bryant Bordelon, Merrick Bordelon, and Joseph Bordelon; parents, Horace and Marina Coincon.

Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 9:00am until time of services.
