Funeral services for Leonard Philip "Flip" Durrett of Odenburg will begin at 10:00a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport. Burial will follow at the Darrell Durrett Memorial Cemetery in Odenburg.

Leonard Philip Durrett entered into eternal rest on Saturday July 2, 2022 at his residence in Simmesport at the age of 86.

He was born October 28, 1935 in Boyce, LA to the late Monroe Durrett and Cecil (Webb) Durrett O’Quinn. Devoted husband of the late Bonnie Dibble Durrett; Beloved father of Edward Durrett (Shirley), Beverly Durrett Collins(Kennie), Donna Durrett Wallace, Richard Durrett (Roxanna); the late Darrell Durrett and honorary son, Ronnie Reyes Durrett; proud grandfather of Rebecca Durrett Savage,  Tracina Wallace, Kenny Smith, Crystal Morvant Troulliet, Jason Collins, Eric Collins, Steven Collins, Melissa Durrett, Stefanie Durrett, Terry Wallace Jr., Anthony Durrett, Andrew Bass, Darrell Durrett, Gracie Durrett, Corey Paquette, and Emily Ducote; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brother to the late Pauline Durrett, Wayne Durrett, and James “Shorty” Durrett.

Visitation will begin at 6:00p.m. until 10:00p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport and from 8:00a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
