Funeral services for Leroy Johnson of Marksville will take place at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church of Mansura on Saturday, June 30, 2012, beginning at 10:00am. Visitations will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Mansura prior to the funeral, from 7:00am to 10:00am. Burial services will commence at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
Leroy Johnson, age 69, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. He is preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Mae Johnson daughter, Donna Marie Johnson parents, Jimmy Ethel Johnson brother, Calvin Johnson. He is survived by his son, Leroy J. Johnson of Los Angeles stepchildren, Beverly Miner of Mansura, Samuel Smith of Marksville, Jessie Andrew of Marksville, Homer Keno of Marksville, soninlaw, Edwin Oglesby, Sr. of Los Angeles brothers, Johnny Johnson of Mansura, David C. Johnson of Marksville sisters, Ruth Thomas of Houston, Lillie M. Francisco of Houston. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
