Leroy Sampson

Memorial services for Leroy Anthony Sampson of Mansura will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 beginning at 11am at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Visitation will be held prior at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura beginning at 9am until 10:45am. Military honors will be presented at the church and burial will be held at a later date.
Leroy Anthony Sampson, age 60, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Alexandria VA Healthcare Nursing Home in Pineville. Leroy joined the U.S. Army in 1974 and served honorably until 1976. He was a very kind hearted man who enjoyed helping others. He worked different factory jobs throughout his career.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sampson & Ella Mae Benjamin Sampson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce Marie Sampson of Pineville; daughter, Natsha Sampson of Ball; son, Gregory Sampson of Alexandria; sisters, Lynn Weaver, Ella Sampson, Leshia Benjamin, & Vanessa Sampson all of Houston, TX; brothers, Frankie Sampson of Houston, Donald Benjamin of Bunkie, Russell Sampson & Glenn Sampson both of Port Arthur, TX; nine grandchildren; two aunts, Beaulh Dupas of Mansura & Inez Batiste of Moreauville; step-father, Alfred Cannon of Houston, TX; best friend, Patrice Wiggins of Mansura; and a host of nieces, nephews
