Funeral services for Lessie Thomas of Marksville will be held at the St. Paul Baptist Church of Blue Town on Saturday, November 28, 2009, beginning at 11:00am, with Rev. Lawrence Porterie officiating. Visitations will also take place at the church prior to the funeral, beginning at 10:00am. Burial services will conclude at the St. Paul Baptist Cemetery. Lessie Thomas, age 93, passed at the Colonial Nursing Home on Monday, November 23, 2009. She is preceded in death by her; parents, Willie Roseana Lonzo; husband, Albert Thomas; brothers, Rev. Stanley Lonzo, Wilton Lonzo, Kerry Lonzo. She is survived by her; sister, Elonia Augustine of Marksville, Mary Alexander of Marksville, Merica Ashley of Marksville; god son, Charles Chuck Young of Carencro; god daughter, Anne Coco of Baton Rouge. Services and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
