Funeral services for Linda Faye Anderson Brown of Simmesport will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 beginning at 11am at the Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport. Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2015 beginning at 9am until time of service at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport. Burial will be held at True Vine Baptist Cemetery.
Linda Faye Anderson Brown, age 59, departed her earthly life and entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Dubuis Hospital in Alexandria. Linda was born on August 3, 1955 to the late Robert Anderson, Jr. & Ivory Anderson in Pineville.
Linda accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Ulysees Brooks at True Baptist. At the time of her passing, she was a member of True Vine Baptist Church. Linda started out as a teacher's aide at Simmesport Elementary School and was later employed at a sewing factory, Garan, which later became Holloway, as a supervisor. Because she loved caring for others, Linda obtained CNA credentials and worked in the healthcare field for more than 30 years. Additionally, she was a certified tax preparer.
She was preceded in death by father, her siblings, Jeffery Anderson and Geraldine Anderson; maternal grandparents, Paul Joseph & Matleen Clark Joseph; paternal grandparents, Robert Anderson, Sr. & Elizabeth Anderson.
Those left to cherish her memories are her mother, Ivory Anderson Lyles of Simmesport; four sisters: Joyce Anderson Carter of Killeen, TX, Barbara Anderson Lanhart and Paula Anderson Rowe (Ronald) both of Simmesport, and Emma Johnson (Patrick) of Baton Rouge; three brothers: Robert Anderson, III (Margery) and Terry Anderson (Shirley) both of Simmesport, and Kenneth Anderson of Woodville, MS; eight aunts: Ethel Allen (Vincent) of Port Arthur, TX, Elenora Gordon and Henrietta Joseph of Omaha, NE, Vera Riley (Rev. Willie) and Martha Anderson Lee of Simmesport, Mary Allen (Alvin) and Annette Patterson Dunbar (Jerry) of Baton Rouge and Patricia Richard Stevenson of Lafayette; four uncles: Eddie Joseph and Theodore Joseph (Daisy) of Jackson, MS, Floyd Joseph (Annie) of Simmesport, and Donald Joseph (Peggy) of Port Arthur, TX; one great-aunt, Alnetta Clark Jones; one great-uncle, Curtis Clark (Agnes); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends.
