Memorial services for Lindbergh Devillier of Plaucheville will take place at the Escud Funeral Home of Cottonport on Friday, February 11, 2011, beginning at 7:00pm. Visitations will also be held at the funeral home, prior to the services, from 2:00pm to 9:00pm.
Lindbergh Devillier, age 81, passed away at the Veterans Hospital of Pineville on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. He was a diesel mechanic, farmer, operated his own helicopter spraying service, and he loved shrimping and fishing in Grand Isle. He learned to play the accordion at the age of 53 and even made his own album with French songs with his band DIs Cajun Jammers. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ella Lejeune Devillier son, Lindbergh Linny Devillier parents, Mayo Regina Richard Devillier. He is survived by his children, Joseph Nathan Devillier of Prairieville, John Gregory Devillier of Sunset, Lynella Ann Devillier of Plaucheville, David Wayne Devillier of Dallas. He is also survived by his six grandchildren ten greatgrandchildren.
