Lizzie Gaspard

Funeral services for Lizzie Gaspard of Big Bend will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 beginning at 10am at Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Church in Big Bend. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Church in Big Bend beginning at 5pm continuing all night until the time of service Monday. Burial will be held at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Lizzie Gaspard, age 87, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Colonial Nursing Home in Marksville. She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Belle Dupont Martin; husband, Joseph Gaspard; and great-grandson, Zeth Rogers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Bobby (Shirley) Gaspard of Big Bend, Hank (Elizabeth) Gaspard of Big Bend, Billy (Tamera) Gaspard of Big Bend, Eddie (Connie) Gaspard of Morganza, Carl (Darlene) Gaspard of Cottonport, Ernest Gaspard of Simmesport; daughters: Emma (Chris) Bandy of Big Bend, Dale (friend Arthur) Gaspard of Lafayette, Irene (Paul) Strong of Simmesport, June (Roy) Mayeaux of Hamburg, Tammy (Terry) Clark of Abbeville; twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty-five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
