A memorial service for Lolita Smith of Mansura will begin at 11:30 am on Friday, February 2, 2024, at St. Peter's Church Hall in Bordelonville with Rev. Keith Lamartiniere and Fr. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until 11:30 am on Friday, February 2, 2024, at St. Peter's Church Hall in Bordelonville. Inurnment will take place at the St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
Lolita Smith, age 82, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at her home in Mansura.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Bert Steve Smith, Sr.; sons, Kirk Bordelon (his late wife Wendy), Bert “Stevie” Smith, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Bordelon; grandchildren, Ashley Bordelon (Clifton), Joshua Bordelon (Erika), Tyler Bordelon, Dylan Bordelon, and Dalton Bordelon; great-grandchildren, Akira, Dante, and Remy Duplessis, Joshua, Jr. and Ryleigh Bordelon, and Delanie Bordelon. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Desselle, Al Desselle, Jr. and Elbert Desselle; and sisters, Jeanette Adams and Alberta Breecher.
She was preceded in death by her son; Bradley Bordelon; parents, Albert, Sr. and Della Verne Laborde Desselle; her first husband, Norbert Bordelon; brothers, Tommy Desselle, Roland Desselle, and Albert Joseph Desselle, Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Roland “Eddie” Bordelon.

The family would like to especially thank: Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and her sitters: Anna, Heather, Elizabeth, and Sandra, for taking special care of Lolita.
