Lorraine Austin

TIL WE MEET AGAIN. Verle Lorraine Bryan Austin, a resident of Point Coupee Parish, Louisiana, entered into rest on September 13, 2014 at the age of 92 at Point Coupee Healthcare Nursing Home in New Roads, Louisiana. Lorraine was a homemaker, and worked along side her husband on the family farm at Jacoby, Louisiana. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 72 years, Cleveland Vernel Austin three sons and their wives, Kenneth Wayne Austin and wife Cornelia of Batchelor, Grover Clevie Austin and wife Patsy of St. Amant, Sidney Austin and wife Cassie of Pineville. Lorraine was born into this world on November11, 1921 at New Era, Louisiana and was among the 12 children of William Willie Bryan and Josephine Kimble Bryan. Lorraines surviving kindred are sister in law Mable Jones Bryan of Wildsville, LA, sister in law Flora Bryan of Mckees Rock, PA, brother in law E W Walker of Wildsville, LA, sister, Alice Bryan Emerick and husband Bobby of Wildsville, LA and brother Jack Bryan ans wife Etta Lee Bryan of Baker. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, son, Gerald Jerry Austin, brother, William Bill Bryan, brother Johnny Bryan, sister, Gladys Wiley, sister, Agatha Pate, sister, MargorieHamilton, sister, Elaine Walker, brother, Ernest Bryan, sister, Inez Swayze, Grandson, Stephen Austin, and daughter in law Donna Clark Austin. Lorraine is survived by twelve loving grandchildren, twenty greatgrandchildren, 4 great greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and an extended family of friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church in Simmesport, LA, on September 15, 2014 from 10am to 12pm at which time funeral services will be held. Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Simmesport, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Cemetrey, for the upkeep of the final resting place of so many in care of John Barr, PO Box 110, Hamburg, LA 71339. Special thanks to the staff of the Point Coupee Healthcare Nursing Home and Dr. Paul Rachal for their care of Lorraine in the last years of her life. TIL WE MEET AGAIN.
