Lorraine Mary Jeansonne

Funeral Mass for Lorraine Mary Jeansonne of Hamburg will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Moreauville on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024 beginning at 10:00am with Rev. Brian Seiler officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery in Hamburg.

Lorraine Jeansonne, age 87, passed away at the Rivière de Soleil Community Care Center on Friday, November 22nd, 2024. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debra Veade (Eddie) and Catherine Coco (Keith), both of Hamburg; six grandchildren, Marcus Beckham (Jill), Jeremy Beckham (Jenny), Claire Chang (David), Keith Coco, Jr., Laura Saucier (Justin), and Kayla Coco (John); her five great-grandchildren and her two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Gerald Lachney and Cleveland Lachney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Jeansonne; sisters, Doris Juneau and Dorthy Rock; brothers, Alton Lachney and Austin Lachney, Jr.; and her parents, Austin, Sr. and Ola Gaspard Lachney. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville, on Monday, November 25th, 2024 and will resume Tuesday morning at 8:00am.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Rivière de Soleil and Allegiance Hospice for their love and compassionate care shown to Lorraine.
