Louie loved life. He was employed as a tech ops supervisor for various cable companies, as an IT manager at Bunkie General Hospital, and later as a project manager for the Rural Health Information Exchange (LAHRIX). He was a civil servant and served on the police jury for 2 terms, the Cottonport Town Council, and a captain on the Cottonport Volunteer Fire Department. He was a talented musician. He played bass guitar in various bands over the years and sang. He was a DJ for forty years and was known to bring the party whenever he worked. He loved camping on weekends with family and friends in Spring Bayou, vacationing, and fishing in Grand Isle. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends but the heavenly choir has gained a beautiful voice.
