Louisiana Laborde

Services for Louisiana Marie Laborde will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hessmer on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Father Anthony Dhamaraj Father Raj officiating. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Mausoleum Cemetery, Hessmer under the direction of Escude Funeral Home, Mansura. Louisiana Marie Laborde, age 92, of Mansura, died Saturday, January 27, 2007 in Hessmer Nursing Home. She was a member of Lady of Altar Society, St. Alphonsus Church and a retired grocery store owner. Survivors include a daughter, Betty and husband Sam Smith of Hessmer; daughter-in-law, Leonie LaBoard of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Tommy Smith of Lone Oak, Texas, Jennifer McDowell of Hessmer, Samantha Roy of Hessmer, David Smith of Ruston, Pamela Davenport of Katy, Texas and Gregory Laborde of Altadena, California; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linus Laborde; son, Gerald Laborde; mother, Irene Laborde Daigrepont; father, Leon Daigrepont; sisters, Viola Guillot and Elda Milligan; and brother, Lewis Laborde. Friends may call Sunday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary at 5:53 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.
