Funeral services for Loyola Coco Johnson of Moreauville will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 beginning at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Moreauville. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2014 beginning at 8:30am until the time of services at the Escud Funeral Home of Moreauville. Interment will be held at the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Loyola Coco Johnson entered into rest Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Rapides Regional Hospital. She was born August 25, 1933 in Mansura, LA to the late Ethel Goody and the late Louis Prevot. Loyola, Loy Lois was truly a remarkable and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her favorite pastime was looking through her many cook books. She was known for her great culinary skills, especially baking cakes and trying out new recipes. Loyola was a faithful member of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Sorrows, a member of Christian Mothers at Sacred Heart Church, and a loyal member of Our Lady of Sorrows Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Court 202 Fourth Degree.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Paul Johnson. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of sixtythree years, Paul Johnson of Moreauville six daughters, Sherry Johnson and Senta Johnson of New Orleans, Sibyl Johnson and Bonnie Johnson of Shreveport, Althea Luther Grissom of Bossier City, and Leasia Johnson of Atlanta, GA two sons, Randy Johnson of Marksville and Farrell Carolyn if Moreauville one brother, Oscar Paul Goody, Jr. of Moreauville two sisters, Ludia Alexander and Bernadette Goody of Moreauville special cousin, Callie Williams of Alexandria, and special friend, Marine Dupas of Moreauville eighteen grandchildren, sixteen greatgrandchildren, seven stepgreatgrandchildren, her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Active pallbearers are Curtis Celestine, Tony Kyle, Oscar Paul Goody III, Travis Johnson, Michael Alexander, and Brian Goody. Honorary pallbearers are Gregory Johnson, Joseph Dupas, Jr., Lorenza Ray Nash, Randy Johnson, Jr., Ryan Paul Johnson, Raney Christopher Johnson, and Johannes Goody.
