Funeral services for Lucille Batiste of Mansura will take place at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor of Mansura on Monday, March 12, 2012, beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Jose Palathura officiating. Visitations will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Sunday, March 11, 2012, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and will resume Monday morning at 9:30am. Burial services will commence at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
Lucille Batiste, age 84, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Louisiana Brooks husband, Willie Narcise Batiste sister, Mary Johnson brother, Gerald Brooks. She is survived by her children, Christopher Batiste of Cleveland, OH, Lawrence Lonnie Batiste of Mansura, Philip Batiste of Mansura, Rosa Millang of Acton, CA, Jacqulin Batiste of Kansas City, KS, Jennifer Davis of Kansas, KS, Edwina Moton of Broussard sisters, Lillian Prier of Mansura, Antionette Brook of Kansas City, MO brother, Edward Charles Brooks of Mansura sistersinlaw Sarah Brooks of Mansura, Patricia Brooks of Mansura aunt, Corene Augustine of Marksville. She is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren eleven greatgrandchildren.
