Funeral services for Lurline Townsend Platt of New Orleans will take place at the Little Zion Baptist Church of Innis on Saturday, March 19, 2011, beginning at 12:00pm. Visitations will also be held at the church, prior to the funeral services, beginning at 10:00am. Burial services will commence at the Little Zion Baptist Cemetery.
Lurline Townsend Platt, age 73, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Platt parents, Clarence Olivia Johnson Townsend son, Frederick Gaines daughter, Yolanda E. Townsend brothers, Alex Townsend, Clarence Townsend, Jr., Limoten Townsend. She is survived by her sisters, Christine Townsend Lanehart of Lettsworth, Eva Townsend Malone of New Orleans brother, J.B. Johnson of New Orleans granddaughters, Ashley Townsend, Tamica Gaines. She is also survived by a host of extended family and close friends.
