Lynn Moreau

Funeral Mass for Lynn Moreau of Bunkie will take place at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Mansura on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 beginning at 11:00am with Rev. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Lynn Moreau, age 65, passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday,  August 31st, 2024. Lynn  was a former carpenter, avid hunter, member of Lake Pearl Hunting Club for 40 years, and a retired employee of The Avoyelles Parish School Board for 28 years.

He  enjoyed hunting with his sons, Jason and Matthew, brothers-in-law, and grandchildren. Nicole, his daughter, was the light of his life. Lynn loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them especially on Sunday's for dinner. His beloved wife Rita of 47 years was the love of his life, and they shared many joys and sorrows together. He will be deeply missed by his daughters-in-law Maggie and Lori,  son-in-law Brandon, brothers Maxwell and twin brother Glenn, sister Elaine and numerous nieces, nephews, sister in laws, friends and family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rita Moreau; children, Jason Moreau (Lori), Matthew Moreau (Maggi), and Nicole Moreau (Brandon); grandchildren, Jayler, James, Jacob, Aubree, Duncan, Sophie, Brooks, Malaine (Dylan), Zachary, and Nicholas; and his three great-grandchildren, Marbella, Dantlee, and Wren. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine Maxwell; and brothers, Maxwell Moreau and Glenn Moreau.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Rachel Lyn Moreau; parents, Joseph Paul & Ivy Mae Roy Moreau; and his sister, Patricia Moreau.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura. The holy rosary will be recited that evening at 6:30pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning at 8:00am.
