Funeral Mass for Madeline “May” Moreau Chatelain of Mansura will take place at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Mansura on Monday, January 24th, 2022 beginning at 11:00am with Rev. Irion St. Romain. Burial will take place at the St. Paul Catholic Mausoleum.

Madeline Chatelain, age 81, passed away at her home in Mansura surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, January 20th, 2022. She worked for 33 years at the Cottonport Bank as an Assistant Cashier.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Ted Chatelain; two amazing daughters, Cindy Chatelain VanNatta (Milton) of Shreveport and Karleen Chatelain Lacombe of Marksville; four beautiful granddaughters, Amber Lacombe, Laurie VanNatta Jones (Evan), Katie VanNatta, and Mollie VanNatta; also survived by three adorable great-grandchildren, Levi & Ella Jones and Axil Lacombe; two younger sisters, Laura Moreau Gremillion (Kenneth) and Jean Moreau Roy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Adele Ducote Moreau; and her brother, James “T-Jim” Moreau.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am to 11:00am, on Monday, January 24th, 2022, at Escude Funeral Home of Mansura and last until time of the funeral mass.

Rosary at 10:00am.
