Funeral services for Maggie Bordelon of Bordelonville will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 beginning at 10am at the St. Peters Catholic Church of Bordelonville. Burial will follow services in St. Peters Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. Peters Church Hall on Friday, June 21, 2013 beginning at 5pm continuing all night until the time of services on Saturday. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Maggie Bordelon, age 91, passed away at the Valley View Nursing Home in Marksville on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Barrere, Sr. Harriet Tassin Barrere and two husbands, Huba Bordelon and Wis Bordelon. She is survived by two daughters, Annie Bordelon and Mary Bennie Gremillion both of Simmesport four sons, Michael Bordelon, Gaynell Bordelon, Nestor Bordelon all of Bordelonville and Eric Bordelon of Center Point. She is also survived by her sister Madgie Dufour of Plaucheville, eleven grandchildren, eleven greatgrandchildren, one greatgreatgrandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be: Gregory Newton, Joshua Damico, Jason Lemoine, Noah Bordelon, Gordon Bordelon, Eric Zeke Fontenot and crossbearer will be Jessie Bordelon.
