Funeral services for Marie King of Hamburg will take place at the Christ the King Catholic Church of Simmesport on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 beginning at 10:30am with Fr. Walter Ajaero officiating. A rosary will be recited for family and friends before the funeral mass starting at 10:00am. Burial services will commence at the Christ the King Catholic Mausoleum.
Marie King, age 92, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital on Sunday, May 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas King; grandson, Robbie Bordelon; brothers, Louis "Buddy" Lemoine & J. T. Lemoine; sisters, Doris Wilkes & Earline Bordelon; and her parents, Osma & Eula Lemoine. She is survived by her children, Thaddeus King of Plaquemine, Wayne King of Lakeland, and Patricia Bordelon of Lettsworth; sisters, Janel Wilkes, Eula Mae Wilkes, & Nelia Brouillette; grandchildren, Donnovan Bordelon, Shannon King, Sherrie King, Jason King, Candace Conerly, Shane King, & Shawn King. She is also survived by her nineteen great-grandchildren, including Britney Bordelon who took care of her, & three great-great-grandchildren.
