Funeral services for Marilynn Gunnells Desselle of Moreauville, will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Grace Community Church in Jacoby, beginning at 11:00 am. Visitation will also be held at the church, beginning at 8:00 am, until the time of service. Graveside services will take place at the Gunnells Family Cemetery in Lettsworth.

Marilynn Desselle, 64, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Bayou Chateau Nursing Home in Simmesport.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas “T.T.” Gunnells III and Evelyn “Coo” Brouillette Gunnells; sister, Carleen J. Gunnells; and a brother, Jerry Wayne “Louie” Gunnells; and a nephew Keith Gunnells.

She is survived by her daughters, Natasha Adams (Shaun) and Tonya Desselle; brothers, Leon Gunnells, and Keith Gunnells (Jackie); grandchildren, “Little” Shaun Adams, Ericka Adams, and Allie Adams; and one great grandchild “on the way”.

Pallbearers will be, “Little” Shaun Joseph Adams, Shaun Adams, Chad Gunnells, Garrett Yaun, Mark Anthony Gaspard, Logan Gaspard, and Randy Gunnells. She will be escorted by Keith Gunnells, Leon Gunnells and Brad Gunnells.

Services and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude’ Funeral Home.
