Funeral services for Martha Jenkins of Mansura will take place at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church of Mansura on Saturday, July 7, 2012, beginning at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, July 6, 2012, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and wake services will be held at 6:00pm.
Martha Jenkins, age 71, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bishop Jenkins and her parents, Florence Joseph Lavalais and Johnny Lavalais. She is survived by her two sons, James Pierre, Jr. of Cottonport and Donald Ray Jenkins of Mansura, two daughters, Elizabeth Jenkins of Houston and Deola Jenkins of Cottonport. She is also survived by her two brothers, Anthony Lavalais of Alexandria and Edward Charles Lavalais of Colfax, one sister, Nellie Rose Jacobs of Marksville, thirtyfour grandchildren and fifteen greatgrandchildren.
