Marvin James Lacour

Marvin James LaCour was born to the late Norris LaCour and Fannie Wallace LaCour on January 19, 1953. He departed this life on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Riviere de Soleil Community Care Center in Mansura, LA. 

Marvin was an incredibly talented contractor who excelled in various trades, including carpentry and painting. He truly mastered his craft.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Sean Callegari, Marcus Callegari, Marvin Bradford, Shanta Johnson, Kiska LaCour, Margo LaCour, and Juliean Gauthier; one sister, Mary LaCour Williams; one brother, Adrian LaCour; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, his legacy will continue to live on through them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris & Fannie LaCour; three sisters, Geraldine LaCour Andrews, Melba Jean LaCour Crawford, and Doloris LaCour Ford; and six brothers: Odelle LaCour, Idel LaCour, Norris LaCour, Jr., Lincoln LaCour, Gerald LaCour, & Jullian LaCour.

A memorial service will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home 6608 Porterie Street Mansura, LA 71350 with a repass celebration immediately following at the KC Hall 931 Bryan Street Cottonport, LA 71327.
