Funeral services for Mary Ann Scallan of Plaucheville will take place at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church of Plaucheville on Thursday, July 29, 2010, beginning at 10:00am, with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Visitations will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, and will resume Thursday morning at 8:00am. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 6:30pm, and burial services will commence at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Mausoleum.
Mary Ann Scallan, age 78, passed away at the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria on Monday, July 26, 2010. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Scallan parents, Westley, Sr. Theresa Lemoine Valois. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Veade of Plaucheville sisters, Kate Greer of Alexandria, Emily Normand of Irving, TX brothers, Mathews Valois of Marksville, Louis Valois of Hessmer, Ben Valois of Plaucheville, Westley Valois, Jr. of Mansura. She is also survived by her two grandchildren one greatgrandchild.
