Funeral services for Mary Ellen Galland Dixon of Cottonport will be held at the St. Marys Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Thursday, August 19, 2010, beginning at 10:00am, with Fr. Anthony Fr. Raj Dhamaraj officiating. Visitations will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, and will resume at 8:00am Thursday morning. A rosary will be held at 6:00pm Wednesday evening, and burial services will commence at the St. Mary Cemetery 2.
Mary Ellen Dixon, age 68, passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother. She was a member of St. Marys Assumption Catholic of Cottonport. For thirtyeight years she was the owner of Mary Ellens Beauty Shop of Cottonport. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Pamela Ann Shelia Marie Dixon granddaughter, Jill Marie Bordelon parents, Cilton Rosalie Galland brother, Jessie Joseph Galland.
Those left to cherish her memories include husband, Ronald Jude Dixon of Cottonport daughter, Beryl Dixon Fitzgerald of Pineville five grandchildren, Ashley Fitzgerald Brazzell, Crystal Fitzgerald Daire, Danielle Fitzgerald, all of Pineville, Jennifer Bordelon of Cottonport, Jeremy Bordelon of Cottonport three greatgrandchildren Kaden Bordelon, Derek Daire, Jr., Anna Claire Brazzell.
Pallbearers will include Jeremy Bordelon, Carl Jeansonne, Chad Jeansonne, Grady Galland, Wesley Garrot, Jeremy Brazzell. The cross bearer will be Kaden Bordelon.
Services and funeral services are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
