Funeral services for Mary Viola Edwards will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 5pm until midnight. Burial will be held at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Mary Viola Edwards, age 81, of Mansura passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Rapides Regional Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edwards Sr.; parents, Lewis & Mary Eaglin Hebert; son, Joseph Edwards Jr.; daughter, Yvette James; brothers, Louis Hebert, Joseph Hebert, John Hebert, Paul Hebert; sisters, Mary Hebert Lonzo, Mary Hebert Edwards, Mary Irine Hebert.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jules & Thelma Edwards Sr. of Hessmer, Joseph & Louisana Ann Edwards Sr. of Baton Rouge, Jason & Christina Edwards of Pensacola, FL; daughters, Gwyn & Larry Sampson of Marksville, Serada Fox of Cottonport; sisters, Mary James Hebert & Linda Hebert Smith both of Cottonport. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
