Mary Larcart

Memorial Gathering for Mary Faye Larcart will begin at 11:00am until 1:00pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.  The memorial service will be held at 12:00pm.

Mary Faye Larcart was born in Cottonport, Louisiana to the Late Odeal Larcart and the late Florence Johnson Larcart on March 4, 1942. She departed this life on March 1, 2023 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville, Louisiana.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend Lewis and became a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Cottonport, Louisiana.

Mary Faye Larcart shared her gifts and talents wholeheartedly and truly loved having her family and friends around her. The majority of her life was spent taking care of her special need daughter Debra Larcart and special needs niece Karren Thomas, who meant everything to her. Due to her compassion and love she had for those around her, words will always be unmatched. Therefore, memories of her will always be cherished and she will live on through the lives she has touched along her journey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ceffus Larcart and Monroe Larcart, five sisters Shirley Larcart Lavalais, Lee Ann Larcart, Geraldine Larcart Thomas, Alice Larcarte Prier, and Ora Lean Larcart, one daughter Debra Larcart, and one niece Karen Thomas.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Angela Couvillion of Houston, TX and Janice Larcart of Lake Charles, LA. Seven grandchildren Derrick Larcart of Lake Charles, LA, Crystal Larcart Joshua of Lake Charles, LA, Wesley Larcart of Lake Charles, LA, Lorenzo Larcart of Lake Charles, LA, Brittany Couvillion Laird of Houston, TX, Cagney Larcart of Lake Charles, LA, Brent Couvillion Jr. of Moreauville, LA; two brothers, Melvin Larcart Sr. (Edna) and Kenneth Larcart Sr. both of Cottonport, LA; one sister Bernadette Harris (Richard) of Cottonport, LA, four half-sisters, Patricia Ballard, Lorraine Keller, Melissa Christmas, and Belinda Ballard; four half-brothers Jimmy Bradford, Milton Bradford, John Bradford, and Arthur Ray Bradford; fifteen great grand children, three great great grandchildren, one uncle Robert Johnson Sr.
