Mary Lois Lemoine passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014. Lois was born in Cottonport, on May 28, 1928. She, along with her husband Walter, owned and operated the City Caf in Cottonport for many years. She was a member of St. Marys Assumption Catholic Church where she sang in the choir.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Walter Lemoine her first husband, Felman Cappel, Sr. her son, Felman Cappel, Jr. her parents, Adolph Essie Bordelon and her brother, Bert Bordelon.
She is survived by her two sons, Barry Nancy of Forest Hill and Robert Carla of Baton Rouge four grandchildren, Chad Lemoine of Lake Charles, Farrah Lemoine of Baton Rouge, Justin Lemoine of Baton Rouge, and Brent Lemoine of Ponchatoula two sisters, Cecile Laborde of Mansura and Ellen Breaux of New Orleans six greatgrandchildren numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express special thanks to her sisters, Ellen Cecile for their love support, especially to Cecile for being there every day for her sister to Cindy Juneau, head of nursing at Avoyelles Hospital for ensuring excellent care for her Aunt Lois Mrs. Era Lee Gauthier for being such a good friend, visiting her often taking her to appointments.
The family also offers thanks to the staff of Rio Sol Nursing Home All Saints Hospice for providing firstrate care compassion to our mother.
Visitation will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and will resume Monday morning at 8:00am. Funeral services will take place at the St. Marys Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Monday, March 17, 2014 beginning at 10:00am with Fr. Keith Ishmael officiating. Burial will commence at the St. Mary Mausoleum. Pallbearers for the service will be: Chad Lemoine, Brent Lemoine, Justin Lemoine, Joshua Juneau, Jody Gauthier, Errol Laborde.
