Funeral services for Mildred Dupont of Plaucheville will take place at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dupont on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, beginning at 10:00am, with Rev. George Krosfield officiating. Visitations will take place at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall of Dupont on Monday, July 05, 2010, from 5:00pm to 12:00am, and will resume Tuesday morning at 8:00am. A rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00pm, and burial services will commence at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Mildred Dupont, age 88, passed away at the Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home on Sunday, July 3, 2010. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pierce Dupont, Sr. daughter, Betty Jean Dupont grandchildren, Joey Dupont, Rex Phillips, Jr., Beth Ward, Cristal Bernard parents, Elum J. Marcotte Adele Marcotte. She is survived by her daughters, Gail Dupont of Plaucheville, Judith Ward of Simmesport, Angela Dupont of Houston, Adele Dupont of Simmesport, Ruth Esser of Milton, FL. sons, E.J. Elum Dupont of Dupont, Otis Dupont of Dupont, Pierce Dupont, Jr. She is also survived by her thirtytwo grandchildren, fortysix greatgrandchildren, two greatgreatgrandchildren. Pallbearers will include Michael Fountain, Ricky Dupont, Dennis Dupont, Wayne Ward, James Ward, Kevin Dupont, Nickol Dupont, Cody Phillips.
