Funeral services for Monroe "J.M." Franks, Jr. of Marksville will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 beginning at 2:30pm at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Visitation will be held at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 beginning at 3pm until 10pm and will resume Thursday morning at 8am. Burial will commence at Cushman Cemetery in Marksville.

Monroe "J.M." Franks, Jr., age 68, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 on Rapides Regional in Alexandria. J.M. was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe & Vallie Franks; first wife, Hermes Ducote; paternal grandparents, Manuel & Rhoda Franks; maternal grandparents, Daniel Newton & Zoey Gagnard.

Those left to cherish his memory are his long-time companion, Ruth Lachney of Marksville; son, Nelson Dauzat of Marksville; step-sons, Bradley Ducote, Bruce Ducote, & Jeffery Lachney all of Marksville; sister, Rachal Wallace & brother, Sterling Franks both of Marksville.
