Morris Mayeaux

Funeral services for Morris Joseph Mayeaux of Simmesport will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 beginning at 1pm at the Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport with Pastor Danny Wright officiating. Visitation will begin at 9am until 1pm at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Burial & military honors will be held at the First Baptist Cemetery.
Morris Mayeaux, age 82, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Alexandria VA Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton, Sr. & Amatte Mayeaux; his first wife of 58 years, Joe Ann O'neal Mayeaux; son, Morris Mayeaux, Jr.; brothers, Edward Mayeaux, Hilton Mayeaux, Milton Mayeaux, & Rilan Mayeaux.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 2 years, Debbie Mayeaux of Simmesport; daughters, Lynnia Murphy (Kenny) of Lafayette, Alice Sistrunk (Dennis) of Puckette, MS, Betty Mayeaux Cecil (Daniel) of Morton, MS; sons, Dennis Mayeaux (Norma Jean) of Simmesport and Brett Mayeaux (Renee) of Lafayette. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, & three great-great-grandchildren.
