Ms. Alice Burke

Memorial services for Alice Nadeen Burke of Hessmer will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 beginning at 1:30pm at the Escud Funeral Home in Mansura. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 beginning at 1pm until 4pm at the Escud Funeral Home in Mansura. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Alice Nadeen Burke, age 72, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. Alice was known sometimes as Ms. Meche or the Donut Lady because she owned the Meches Donut King in Marksville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Allene Burke brothers, Gene Edwin Burke and Dannis Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cynthia Summers of Texarkana, Tx son, Robert Summers of La Conner, Wa grandchildren: Jennslynn Summers, Kaitlyn Summers, Hayleigh Summers, and Joshua Summers brothers, Patrick Burke of Gypsum, Co, Boyd Burke of Canon City, Co, and Lynn Burke of Maryland, Va sisters, Ruth Arellano of Glenwood Springs, Co and Cheryl Williams.
