Funeral services for Murry Firmin of Cottonport will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Monday, May 2, 2011, beginning at 1:00pm, with Fr. George Krosfield officiating. Visitations will also be held at the funeral home, prior to services, beginning at 9:00am. Burial services will commence at the Mater Dolorosa Mausoleum.
Murry Firmin, age 90, passed away at the Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home on Friday, April 29, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Galland Firmin parents, Hillary Amy Firmin brother, Huron Firmin. He is survived by his son, Edward Firmin of Marrero, daughter, Mary Ellen Juneau of Metairie sisters, Amy Firmin of Baton Rouge, Sadie Wartburg of Amite five grandchildren seven greatgrandchildren.
