Funeral services for Nathan Laurent of Cottonport will be held at the Little Zion Baptist Church of Longbridge on Saturday, March 19, 2011, beginning at 11:00, with Rev. Vernon Simon officiating. Visitations will also take place at the Little Zion Baptist Church, prior to the funeral, beginning at 9:00am. Burial services will commence at the Little Zion Baptist Cemetery.
Nathan Laurent, age 84, passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center on Saturday, March 12, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edwina Blackman Laurent son, Nathan Matthews parents, Velmon Iris Randall Laurent. He is survived by his daughters, Gwen Laurent Simon, Ella Louise Laurent, Rose Laurent son, Benjamin Laurent brother, Lonis Laurent sisters, Majesta Hegger, Geraldine Benjamin, Velma Marie Wells, Rachel Hall. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren, thirtytwo greatgreatgrandchildren.
Services and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
