Memorial services for Nell Bordelon Burks of Plaucheville will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 beginning at 6 pm at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 4 pm until 9 pm. arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Nell Bordelon Burks, age 79, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Christus Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents; Alfred and Marie Dauzat Bordelon, husband; Marion Savage, and sister; Annie Lollie Savage.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Ellen Thibodeaux of Plaucheville, Cheryl Dixon of Plaucheville, Erline Savage of Plaucheville, Loretta Bordelon of Cottonport, Christine Guillory of Hessmer, Cynthia Manuel of Cottonport, Dene Thacker of Boyce, Marie Ducote of Hessmer, one son; Dale Couvillion of Moreauville, 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
