Services for Nibert Joseph Gauthier of Cottonport will be at 11 a.m. on September 10, 2007 at St. Marys Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery 2 in Cottonport. Nibert Joseph Gauthier, age 84, died at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital September 8, 2007. He was preceded in death by father, Elsie Gauthier, mother, Eunice Chenevert Gauthier, brother, Herman Gauthier, sister, Ily Goudeau, sister, Pearl Pepiton, wife, Narcille Gauthier and son, Ned Gauthier. Survivors include daughter, Charlene and husband Richard Riche of Cottonport; grandchildren, Shelley Tate, Ricky Riche, Brady Riche, Danielle Rabalais, and Dayna Carr; eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ricky Riche, Brady Riche, Cody Riche, Mike Tate, Murray Goudeau, Ashley Rabalais. Crossbearers will be Lexie Kimble and Meagan Riche. Readers will be Danielle Rabalais and Dayna Carr. Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home, Cottonport from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2007 and re-open Monday at 8 a.m. A wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
