Funeral services for Nick Francis Mayeux of MansuraHessmer will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 beginning at 11am at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escud Funeral Home in Mansura on Monday, August 11, 2014 beginning at 5pm until 10pm and will continue Tuesday morning at 8am. Interment and military honors will be held in the St. Alphonsus Mausoleum in Hessmer. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Nick Francis Mayeux, age 85, passed away at Grace Home in Alexandria on Saturday, August 9, 2014. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving between 19521954 during the Korean Conflict and was a tank instructor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnaud J. Beatrice Neck Mayeux his brothers, Joseph A. Mayeux and Eddie P. Mayeux his sister, Mae Guillot, and his daughterinlaw, Becky Peart Mayeux.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Zenella Zee Guillot Mayeux of MansuraHessmer his sons, Nicholas Nicky Mayeux wife Julie of Bordelonville, Timothy Tim Mayeux wife Susie of Woodworth, and Joel Paul Mayeux fiance Rhonda of Pineville his daughter, Nina Mayeux Ducote of Lafayette his sister Arnolia M. Mitchell of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Steven Mayeux, Stacey Youngblood, Josh Mayeux, Jake Mayeux, Sarah Mayeux, Elissa Baudoin, Trevor Ducote, and Trent Peart and four greatgrandchildren.
