Funeral services for Nolon Turner will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 1:00p.m. in Escude' Funeral Home of Mansura with Rev. Vernon Simon officiating. Visitation will take place Saturday morning beginning at 9:00a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the St. Paul Catholic Church Cemetery in Mansura.
Nolon Turner, 85 and a resident of Mansura passed away on August 24, 2016 at the Riviere de Soliel Community Care Center in Mansura.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mac and Vinella (Wilson) Turner; two sisters, Lee Esther Dauzat and Kathleen Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marcella Turner of Mansura; daughters, Iris Ann James of Kent, Washington and Bernadette Pieriett of Mansura; a son, Lawrence Bruce Turner of San Antonio; sisters, Marjorie Alexander of Alexandria, Mary Nell Ford of Marksville, Sandra Jean Lavalais of Marksville, Mildred Greenhouse of Marksville and Connie Marie Greenhouse of Marksville; brother, Earl Lavalais of Lawrenceville, GA; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
