Funeral services for O’Brien Rikea Sampson of Mansura will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Burial will be held at St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura.

O’Brien Rikea Sampson, age 35, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Aavion Larent and Kay’den Smith; daughter, “KK” R’Kayla Sampson; stepdaughters, Nazeaha Frazier and Alayjah Frazier; parents, Russell & Dorothy Sampson Augustine; companion, Danielle Dobison; brothers, Najee S. Augustine (Breanna), Scott R. Augustine (Nakita), and Patrick N. Augustine; maternal grandmother, Rose Marie Sampson. He is also survived by aunts, Authuretta Wright, Mary E. Carmouche, Stephanie Thomas, Patricia Kirven, Julie Walker, and Mary (Matt) McGhee; uncles, Edward B. Sampson, Jr., Quentin C. Sampson, Michael A. Sampson, Fred (Lisa) Augustine, and Edward Gene Augustine; 3 nieces, 1 step-niece, 2 step-nephews; godmother, Charmaine Francisco; godfather, Philip Bonton; godchild, Noah Lachney.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward “King Ed” Sampson; paternal grandparents, Curtis & Pearl Augustine.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
