Overton Greenhouse, Jr.

Funeral services for Overton Greenhouse, Jr., "Baby Boy," of Marksville will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 beginning at 7pm at the St. John Community Church-Baptist in Marksville with Rev. Charles Guillory officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 beginning at 5pm until time of service at St. John Community Church-Baptist. Committal service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10am. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Overton Greenhouse, Jr., age 76, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Baby Boy was retired from the U.S. Navy then worked at the Angola Prison as a guard until he retired. He was also a VFW member.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Overton, Sr. & Florida Berry Greenhouse; sister, Annie Mae Kimble; brothers, Ernest Greenhouse, Chester Greenhouse, and Luther Greenhouse.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Glennis Williams Greenhouse of Marksville; daughter, Velinda Gales of Katy, TX; sons: Kint Greenhouse of Charlotte, NC, Edward Greenhouse of Texas, Pastor Mark Lee Greenhouse (Michelle) of Riverside, CA, and Levar Greenhouse (Ashley) of Brusly; sisters: Mary Wilkinson (Jimmy) of Houston, TX, Catherine Johnson (Rev. Elton) of Alexandria, Bessie Johnson of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Leroy Greenhouse of Marksville and Edgar Greenhouse (Lauralee) of Marksville. He also leaves eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
