Patricia Couvillion

Funeral Mass for Patricia Ann Couvillion of Plaucheville will begin at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 3^rd, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport. Burial will follow at Christ the King Cemetery.  

Visitation will be held from 9:00am until 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 3^rd, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport. 

Patricia Ann Couvillion, age 73, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at her home in Plaucheville surrounded by loved ones. Patricia found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from playing bingo and competitive card games that lit up the room with friendly banter, to casting her line into the tranquil waters while fishing in the great outdoors. Patricia's love for her family knew no bounds, and she treasured the moments spent together, creating timeless bonds that will endure beyond her physical presence. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Shelly Rabalais (Dusty), Lisa Kimble (Joey), Amanda Andrews (Ryan), Sherry Lemoine (Sean); her siblings, Tommy Dufrene (Cookie), Charles Dufrene (Darlene), Shelia Toups, Elizabeth Donaldson, Margaret McBride (Tom), Sarah Whiting; She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Marshall Matthews, III (Nicole), Hunter Matthews, Taylor Lemoine, Tucker Lemoine, Hannah Dauzat (Justin D.), Madison Andrews (Justin B.), Kayla Couvillion (Kevin Mayberry), Gage Brooks (Hannah), Rhonda K. Gaspard (Blake), Emily Kimble (Tyler Lemoine), Lexie K. Cupp (Chris); 27 great-grandchildren and one on the way.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Couvillion; parents, Earl John Dufrene & Sarah Eve Bruno Dufrene; siblings, Dianne Dufrene, Carol Chatelain, Earl Dufrene, Jr., and Maurice Dufrene; great-grandson, Kolton Mayberry.  

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Marshall Matthews, III., Hunter Matthews, Ryan Andrews, Joey Kimble, Gage Brooks, Dusty Rabalais, Sean Lemoine, Charles Dufrene, and Carter Matthews serving as cross-bearer.
