Patricia Mitchel

Funeral services for Patricia Mitchel of Hessmer will take place at the St. Paul Catholic Church of Mansura on Saturday, October 28, 2017 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and will resume the next morning at 8:00am. A rosary service will be held Friday evening at 7:00pm. Burial will commence at the St. Paul Catholic Mausoleum.

Patricia, "Patty" Mitchel, age 86, was born on July 12, 1931 in Marksville. She entered eternal rest on October 23, 2017 at Hessmer Nursing Home.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Mansura. She was a member of the St. Paul Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Roland Mitchel parents, Jeanette and Cullen Dupuy, brothers Cecil Dupuy and Lloyd Dupuy.

Survivors include her sons, Richard (Joanne) Mitchel, Michael (Debra) Mitchel both of Mansura; daughters Deborah (Bruce) Courville of Hessmer, Carol (Jay) Helminger of Mansura. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Ashley (Greg) Coco of Port Allen, Erica (Milton) Ducote of Fifth Ward, Bryan Mitchel, Jarred Mitchel and Rachel Helminger all of Mansura. She is survived by 7 great grandchildren, Jeanette, Halsey and Millie Coco of Port Allen, Kenzi and Landon Ducote of Fifth Ward, Drake and Jaylee Mitchel of Mansura. She is also survived by a sister, Melanie Stagg of Bunkie and a brother, Jack Dupuy of Centerpoint.

Lectors will be Ashley Coco and Rachel Helminger. Gift bearers will be Erica Ducote, Jeanette Coco and Halsey Coco. Pall Bearers will be Tim Lemoine, Bryan Mitchel, Jarred Mitchel, Wayne Michel, Greg Coco, & Leonard Hardwick. Cross bearers will be Kenzi Ducote, Landon Ducote, Drake Mitchel, Jaylee Mitchel and Millie Coco.
