A Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia B. Rabalais will be held on Tuesday, November 27, at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Mansura, Louisiana, beginning at 1:00pm. Visitations will also be held at the church beginning at 10:00am.
Mrs. Rabalais was preceded in death by her son, Jody Rabalais, parents, Earl and Juliette Bordelon, and brother, Mark Bordelon.
She is survived by her husband, Willis J. Rabalais Sr. of Boyce, Louisiana, sons, Kyle Rabalais and wife Fran of Greensburg, Louisiana and Willis J. Rabalais Jr. and wife Lisa of Boyce, Louisiana, and daughter Carrie Rabalais of Baton Rouge Louisiana, brother Earl C. Bordelon and wife Mary of Houston, Texas, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Mrs. Patricia B. Rabalais passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at her home in Boyce, Louisiana in the company of her loving family. Mrs. Rabalais, originally from Mansura, Louisiana, has been married to her husband, Willis James Rabalais, for 56 years. Mrs. Rabalais started her journey in life at the age of 6 in New Orleans by singing at the radio station every Saturday morning, catching the streetcar to and from the station. In 1956, she married Willis. The first 16 years of her marriage were spent alongside Willis while he served in the Air Force raising their 4 children. Upon his retirement in 1972, they relocated to Alexandria, Louisiana where they started their second life.
Mrs. Rabalais began substitute teaching and was highly involved in Little Theatre. She played the leading role in Annie Get Your Gun, Hello Dolly, and Oklahoma. From then she went into Real Estate for several years. Mrs. Rabalais worked at the Hotel Bentley as the Sales and Tourist Director until her retirement.
