Funeral services for Peter Sampson, Sr., 80, of Mansura will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mansura with Father August Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Pauls Catholic Cemetery in Mansura, under the direction of Escud Funeral Home of Mansura. BRBRSampson passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009. BRBRHe is survived by his wife, Genevieve Sampson, sons, Peter Sampson, Jr., James P. Sampson, Leo Paul Sampson, Leroy B. Sampson, Sr., Mark Sampson, Sr., Albert Sampson, Sr., and Phillip Sampson, Sr.; daughters Mary Sampson Jones, Lorraine Sampson Seals, Brenda Sampson Nelson, Carolyn Sampson Celestine and Rose Veronica Sampson; brothers Edward Sampson, Sr., Joseph Sampson, Sr., Merlin Sampson, Sr. and Horace Sampson; sisters Agnes McKinley, Celina Sampson, Mary Emma Dupas, Marie Barton and Madeline Lacour. BRBRHe is preceded in death by sons Arnold Sampson and Larry Sampson, father, Paulin Sampson, mother, Regina Batiste Sampson; brothers Armbrose Sampson, Sr., Arthur Sampson, Sr. and Thomas C. Sampson. BRBRVisitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Escud Funeral Home, Mansura, with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 until time of services. BRBRPallbearers will be Thomas Nelson, Virgil Seals, Ronald Carmouche, Jr., Gerard Jones, Jr., Leroy B. Sampson, Jr., Martel Jones and Curtis Celestine.
