Raphael Batiste, Jr.

Funeral services for Raphael Thaddeus Batiste, Jr. of Mansura will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 beginning at 11am at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Visitation will be held at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura on Saturday, July 23, 2016 beginning at 9am until 11am. Burial & military honors will be held at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Mansura.

Raphael "Junior" Batiste, Jr., age 74, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his home. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Junior was preceded in death by his son, Floyd Murray; parents, Raphael, Sr. & Celina B. Batiste; brother, Slyvester Batiste; sister, Carol Ann McGlory.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Bernadine W. Batiste of Mansura; daughters, Lisa Batiste-Randall of Hessmer and Kimberly Bibbins-Holmes of Mansura; sons, Jeffery P. Batiste of Clarksville, TN and Nicholas K. Batiste of Austin, TX; grandsons, Jerrell Bibbins, Jontae Bibbins, Tacari Jenkins, Tristin Gardner & Trey Murray; granddaughters, Jaylin Batiste & Jayme Batiste, Jasmine M. Lofton, & DeLayna Murray.
