Raphael Juneau

Funeral services for Raphael Juneau will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, beginning at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moreauville. Visitation will be held from 8 am until the time of service at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. Interment will commence at the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Funeral services are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Raphael Juneau, age 84, entered eternal rest on October 19, 2015 at Grace Home hospice center in Alexandria. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and American Legion Post 291 of Moreauville. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Japan and was a Korean War Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albin & Leah Juneau; sister, Freddie Mae Mayeaux; brother, Ferdinand Juneau; daughter, Joyce Marie; son, Jude Michael; and his grandparents.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Juneau of Moreauville; daughter, Gayle Ann Alexandria Juneau-Butler (Allyson Juneau-Butler) of Henderson, NV; grandson, Piers Dominic Juneau-Butler of Henderson, NV; sister, Vivian Lemoine of Moreauville and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and loving friends.

Special thanks to Valley View Nursing Home for the care provided to Raphael as a resident for the last 10 months. In addition, we wish to acknowledge the Grace Home staff for guiding us through this difficult time. Finally, we lovingly express gratitude to family and friends who have been perpetually present with kindness, prayers, meals and deep support. We thank you and we love you very much.
