Rebecca Dolliole

Rebecca Scorza Dolliole, 85, born to her parents the late Vincent and Albertine Joseph Scorza, peacefully passed away at 10:40 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at the home of her daughter Warylene D. Lewis, in Cottonport, LA. She was the wife of the late Antoine Matthew Dolliole, Jr. and a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Mrs. Dolliole was baptized at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA. Prior to Hurricane Katrina and an illness which incapacitated her, she attended and faithfully worshiped at Word of Faith Church in New Orleans, LA., under the spiritual guidance of Pastor Charles Green. She was employed for 28 years with the Hyatt Regency Hotel. She is preceded in death by her parents her husband one daughter, Pameta Pam Dolliole Converse three sisters, Leontine Smith Francis, Helen Scorza Francis, and Thelma Scorza Lawrence one brother, Vincent J. Scorza father and mother in law, Antoine M. and Eva Casmier Dolliole, Sr. four sonsinlaw six brothersinlaw and three sistersinlaw. She leaves to mourn her passing her five sons, Antoine, III Columbia, Wayne, Tyrone. Vincent, and Kevin Dolliole three daughters, Diane D. McDuffy, Warylene D. Lewis, and Iqunelda D. Ronald Barnes twentysix grandchildren fiftyfive great grandchildren four greatgreatgrandchildren one brotherinlaw, Jerome J. Dolliole, Sr. two sistersinlaw, Evangeline Dolliole Cade and Joycelyn Varnum Dolliole and countless nephews nieces cousins and friends. Visitation will be held from 8:00 am until 10:00am on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Gentilly Baptist Church, 5143 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, La 70122. Funeral services will be held at the church following the visitation at 10:00 am with Apostle Abraham Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in the mausoleum of Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave, New Orleans, La 70122.
